The SirenThere was a dead body on Sandie's back porch, and it was trying to get in.
She wrung the coffee out of the front of her shirt, made damn sure that all of her doors and windows were locked, and called Mike.
"Yeah? Sandie? That you?"
"You don't know anything about this, do you?"
"Mike, there's a zombie on my back porch. It's leaving smears on the glass door. Is it yours?"
"I... Could you repeat that?"
"Zombie, Mike. It's a dead body in a puddle of nasty, and it's leaving more nasty on my door. God, I can even smell it. This is one thorough job, man."
She edged away from the door, keeping an eye on the intruder beyond the glass. It was bloated and purple with decay, green and black fungus speckling its face. There was fluid coming out of its mouth and dripping from its nose. It had no eyes, and all indication of sex or age had rotted away.
"Robotic, maybe? One of its legs is about to fall off. You didn't sic one of your Cyber Derby friends
Melissa's ChangeMelissa leaned onto the fence of the valley enclosure. The high wooden fence encompassed a vast grass valley which extended for just under a square mile. Melissa would take the horses that her family owned out to this valley to get some exercise. She always enjoyed bringing the horse out to pasture because it mean that she got to see them run gracefully in a pack. Ever since she was a little girl Melissa always enjoyed being around horses. She enjoyed riding them as if they were a part of her since was a young age of 6. Being of the age of 23 Melissa still held a job at her parents' horse breeding ranch. She didn't feel the need to go to college because she was just happy enough to be around horses all day. There were times where she wished she was a horse so she could feel as free as a horse did as they galloped across the land in peace.
Smiling in contentment, Melissa watched the horse romp around the valley. A sudden wind
Test Subject: Vitamin X-7Even though I was 19 years old, I barely stood 5 feet tall. When I was 13, I was at school when the nuclear power plant across town had a radiation leak. The school was one of the many casualties from that freak accident, most of the people who were affected ended up barren and infertile. Unfortunately, I had not entered puberty yet. I never will. My ovaries were destroyed from the radiation and I was doomed to remain in a 12 year old girls body.
I attempted to live a normal life, but everyone looked at me as a child and would not take me seriously. I took me weeks to convince the driver's ed teachers that I was 16 and I deserved the chance to learn to drive. But once I got got my license, I discovered it was more trouble than I expected. I was constantly pulled over because the cops thought I was angry and stole my parents car out of rebellion, then once they realized I was just small for my age, t
Don't Trust the Tall Man Ch. 1“Well, this didn't work...” Said a good friend of yours as she narrowed her eyes, looking around the wooded area. The silence in the air was eerie and the only noise was the wind blowing lightly, messing your hair up slightly. Smoothing it out a bit you looked up at the blonde who sighed disappointed and crossed something out in her black book she was holding.
Nodding you hummed in agreement “What exactly were you expecting?” You asked looking up at her from your sitting position. She acted like if she didn't hear your answer, or maybe she did but in instead of answering you she just kept looking around slowly. Completing full circle she finally shrugged and looked at you with the calm eyes of hers.
“I don't know...” She started in monotone “Something... I guess.” Shaking your head you lifted your hand towards her. Hesitating a moment she helped you up and looked around once more.
The two of you picked up the 12 pages from the forest floo
"ORGANIC" - Part 01
SCIENCE IS VICTORIOUS.
Flat, unblinking eyes watched as many programmers and technicians gave one another hearty pats on the back while exchanging optimistic and congratulatory conversation.
It was indeed a victory for science. After many years of difficult study and intensive research, this epiphany had illuminated the world of Pokemon and sent shockwaves of awe through trainers and professors alike. The findings, among other scientific advances, were on display at an exposition in one of the several research institutes of the Pokemon world.
Although the appearance of this remarkable creature remained virtually unchanged, the core components of the Pokemon in question were radically different. What had once been only a shade of a living creature was now true flesh and blood.
More or less.
"...And this version is capable of organic processes down to the sub-atomic level. It eats, breathes, sleeps, and breeds just like any other Pokemon. It even gi
Metroid: HoU: The Royalty Upgrade"The Royalty Upgrade." Samus selected, brushing a few loose strands of hair off her face. The bad thing about her last upgrade was that once she removed the upgrade, she was left with a mountain of useless hair. She had cut it back to normal, if she ever needed to make a wig She took the chip from the machine and plugged it into her zero suit, yet again. So many zero suit upgrades. Maybe she was just doing something wrong when she was choosing them. She wasn't quite sure how it was supposed to make her into royalty, seeing how she couldn't really be any kind of royalty, except for perhaps the queen of her ship, but she waited to see.
Samus's suit began to glow, beginning its change as the material softened from shiny latex into a soft silk, becoming thicker in the process. The fabric on her arms parted from the shoulders, darkening into dark blue opera gloves, flaring slightly at the tips. The shoulders puffed up, and resembled a smaller version of her power
Queen Part 2 Sarah curled up on her bed. She was afraid and didn't know what was going to happen. But, she was a little excited. She had never told anyone this but all her life she had dreamt of being a mother, and especially of being pregnant. She thought it was beautiful. But this, this would be different. She didn't know how long she laid there but she found her self very hungry. She placed her hand on her stomach, and found it a bit larger than she remembered. She knew she had always had a little pudge of fat around her middle, but now it was a small firm bump. "I guess Aranu wasn't kidding." She said quietly to herself. The door opened.
"You rang, your highness?" Aranu asked as he entered the room. "You don't have to call me Your Highness. Please just call me Sarah. And I didn't call you." She responded, confused. "You said my name. I am your assistant and came to your assistance,
"ORGANIC" - Part 02
SC!ENCE IS V!CTORIOUS.
"This is ridiculous!"
"What is?" Ambrose asked, his attention swept back into reality by his friend's familiar voice, still staring intently at the TV screen. A young Steel-type Pokemon rested on the sofa arm beside him - it was a pudgy little Aron.
"This!" the other young man in the room snuffed, navy eyes alight with impatience as he gestured to the television, "I can't believe the fuss they're making over a Pokemon that looks like it came out of the damn 80s. Couldn't they focus on something more worthwhile?"
"Oh, come on, Ichorus. It isn't like this is kid stuff. They turned a Pokemon made entirely of programming into flesh and blood and squishy stuff! I think it's pretty neat,"
"Ambrose," Ichorus sighed, giving his friend one of his famous degrading looks, "You would think that watching paint drying was 'pretty neat' too."
Ambrose scrunched up his face in irritation, trying to ignore the other and focus on the footag
StagesRita was alwasy care-free. Each summer she spent all her time swimming in the same pond year after year. It was secluded and no one else was every there. She especially loved how quiet it was at the pond, she was able to feel at ease.
However, Rita didn't know that prior to the summer, a UFO was spotted overhead and it seemed to crashland and diasappear into the surrounding woods. Ever since that night, a bizarre creature was seen in and around the pond, but was later captured. Yet, the fish and other life in the water seemed to be vanishing. Hunters and scientists examined the water but found absolutely no life within it, it was a crystal clear pond so nothing oculd hide in it, or so they thought.
Rita jumped into the pond as she always did and swam for hours. It was even hotter than usual that day and since the pond was isolated, Rita took off her bikini and swam around in the nude. Lucky for Rita
